IMPORTANT - YOU must follow the process outlined below to gain membership.

Membership to the China Lair is only given to people who meet a number of criteria which help to make it a secure and useful community.

Temporary China Visitors Due to considerable interest in the forum from temporary visitors we have created a guest community where you can post messages to get in touch / meet with other visitors/ members (You are passing through for holiday/ work etc. and would like to meet up with some community guys. Please go to the other forum "VISITING CHINA".

This thread is reserved for Active Membership Applications.
To be an active member you have to meet the following base criteria:
- are spending significant time in China living/ working/ business - e.g. 3 months+)
- would like to join the lair permanently.

To do this do the following:
1. Send an email to angel@chinalair.com with the following information:
a) Your Name (alias or real)
b) Your Location/ Age
c) Your email address
d) Where you heard about the China forum
e) A brief description of your level of experience
f) Brief overview of your past/ future/ planned places and duration of your stay within the Greater China area

For each application the fields are mandatory. Without ALL of them, your application will not be processed.

2. You will receive an email from the moderator notifying you that you have been confirmed which contains an invitation code.

3. Go to www.chinalair.com/forum/ and click register - fill the registration form in using the invitation code you received by email.

4. The moderator will approve your registration usually within 24 hours and you will receive an email notifying you that your account is active.

5. Log-on and enjoy!

Non-Disclosure and Forum Privacy Agreement: By posting an application you are agreeing to participate in a private forum or interact with the forum's members. All information within the private forum (or received from members) belongs to the users of the forum and is not for distribution physical or electronic outside of the forum by any means or form. Should this agreement be broken the members reserve the right to pursue whichever means necessary to protect their own privacy. Any breach will be treated strictly and at the very least will invoke the revocation of your access to the forum or wing hook-up function. By the same agreement your rights to keep your participation and forum postings restricted to forum use only are assured.

If you are passing through Greater China temporarily (days to 3 months for holidays/ work etc.) and would like to meet up with some local community guys this is how to do it.

Send an email to angel@chinalair.com with the following:
a) Your Name (alias or real)
b) Your Location/ Age
c) The email address (mandatory) and mobile number (optional) at which you can be contacted
d) Where you heard about the China list
e) A brief description of your level of experience
f) As detailed an itinerary as possible for your visit (i.e. Cities you are visiting, and dates when you will be in each) - this helps forum members to see if they can meet up with you.

Your information will be posted in a visitors forum for our members to see and get in touch with you.
